Our Educational Courses

African American Studies Course Name: “Understanding Our Legacy: The Frederick Douglass Experience” This course explores African American history, key figures, and cultural movements through the lens of Frederick Douglass, a renowned abolitionist, writer, and orator. Participants will gain a deep understanding of the contributions and struggles of African Americans, fostering a sense of pride and identity.

Science and Technology Course Name: “Innovations and Discoveries: The George Washington Carver Method” Inspired by George Washington Carver, a pioneering agricultural scientist and inventor, this course covers basic science principles and technological skills. Students will learn about innovations in science and technology, equipping them with practical knowledge for future careers.

Mathematics Course Name: “Mathematical Pioneers: The Katherine Johnson Approach” Named after Katherine Johnson, whose work was crucial to NASA’s space missions, this course includes basic math skills and practical applications. Participants will build a strong foundation in mathematics, essential for various fields and everyday life.

English and Language Arts Course Name: “Voices of Truth: The James Baldwin Literary Exploration” In this course, students will study African American literature and develop writing skills through the lens of James Baldwin, a celebrated novelist, essayist, and playwright. This exploration will enhance critical analysis and creative expression.

Business and Economics Course Name: “Entrepreneurial Spirit: The Madam C.J. Walker Business Blueprint” This course focuses on entrepreneurship, business planning, and financial literacy, inspired by Madam C.J. Walker, the first self-made female millionaire in the U.S. Students will learn the fundamentals of starting and managing a business, preparing them for entrepreneurial endeavors.

Art and Creative Expression Course Name: “Artistic Vision: The Jacob Lawrence Creative Path” Focusing on visual arts and creative expression, this course is inspired by Jacob Lawrence, an influential painter known for his depiction of African American history. Participants will explore artistic techniques and creative processes, fostering personal expression and cultural appreciation.

Health and Wellness Course Name: “Holistic Health: The Charles Drew Medical Model” Addressing personal health, nutrition, and mental wellness, this course is inspired by Charles Drew, a pioneer in blood transfusion techniques. Students will gain valuable knowledge about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and managing their well-being.

Legal Studies and Social Justice Course Name: “Justice and Advocacy: The Thurgood Marshall Approach” This course explores legal rights, social justice, and advocacy strategies through the legacy of Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court Justice.
