Anthony Daniels Poems

Honestly

Some wolves come in sheep clothes
I came baring my fangs,
not to attempt to scare u off
but to expose u to my pain,

I was bred in poverty
where half of the kids will die young,
the girls found power between their legs
and the boys found similar in a gun,

the streets taught me to love
so I learned in a relentless fashion,
it might explain why when I try it out
I always end up crashing,

This cross under my eye means murder
I’m not saying I was glad to,
my environment turned me into a product
so sometimes I simply had to,

I’ve never hit a woman
because a coward killed my auntie,
I daydream about it often time
but at night is when it haunts me,

I feel no need to lie
because I really have nothing to hide,
the things that I do fail to mention
all u gotta do is look in my eyes!!!
