Don’t Judge Us

How can u judge what u don’t know
why do u judge us but won’t speak,
why is race still a factor in America
when your kind does worse than me,

Why does hate still exist in America
we all have to work to eat,
we all gotta answer to a higher power
so how r u any better than me?

What u never made a mistake or something
or do u justify it from one to ten,
if u steal from the store or killed a person
to the ultimate judge it’s still a sin,

Why do we hide behind the internet
but we never expose our intellect,
why do people claim to hate crooks
but still voted Donald Trump as the president,

Why is a look so powerful
does dreadlocks make me violent,
one of the recent school shooters was white
clean cut and people called him silent,

If the guys who re offended had prior help
a real tool to keep them afloat,
he probably would’ve worked below the deck
instead of choosing to rob the boat,

I am not excusing any criminal activities
I just understand what having nothing is,
which is why I’m choosing to use my words
to hopefully inspire another kid,

Good people make bad choices America
that’s what I’m trying to make obvious,
stop focusing on what u were trained to believe
and get to see what’s really inside of us….
